Brazilian Journal of Clinical Medicine and Review

Advertising Policy

The Brazilian Journal of Clinical Medicine and Review (BJCMR) follows internationally recognized best practices to regulate advertising activities, ensuring full editorial independence, transparency, and the integrity of the scientific record. The journal’s advertising policy is aligned with the principles recommended by the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE) and with the requirements of indexing services such as DOAJ, Scopus, and PubMed Central.

Separation of Advertising and Editorial Content

All advertising material is clearly distinguished and physically separated from editorial content. Advertisements are not reviewed, endorsed, or influenced by the editorial board, editors, or peer reviewers.

Acceptable Advertising

Advertisements must be relevant to the journal’s audience and comply with ethical, legal, and professional standards. Advertising that is misleading, deceptive, unsubstantiated, or that promotes unsafe, unethical, or illegal products, services, or practices is strictly prohibited.

Approval and Oversight

All advertisements are subject to prior evaluation and approval by the publisher to ensure compliance with BJCMR policies and applicable regulations. The journal reserves the right to reject or remove advertisements at any time.

Editorial Independence

Advertising has no influence on editorial decisions, peer review processes, manuscript selection, acceptance, or publication timelines. Commercial interests do not affect the journal’s editorial policies or scientific content.

BJCMR does not permit advertising practices that may compromise scientific integrity, reader trust, or editorial independence.
